'Shaggy 2 Dope' From Insane Clown Posse Rushed The Stage At A Limp Bizkit Concert And Drop Kicked Fred Durst
Source - Limp Bizkit’s set at Rock Allegiance Festival in Camden, NJ on Saturday night was briefly interrupted after Insane Clown Posse’s Shaggy 2 Dope reportedly rushed the stage in an attempt to dropkick Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst.
Shaggy was ultimately unsuccessful as his kick landed short of Durst’s body. He was immediately confronted by security and a fight ensued on the side of the stage. For his part, Durst didn’t seem to recognize that Shaggy was his assailant. “What a pussy, he couldn’t even pull it off,” Durst remarked, before telling security to “calm down… It’s just one guy.”
So apparently, Limp Bizkit and ICP have had bad blood ever since the Family Values tour like twenty years ago. Durst invited them to open for him then canceled at the last minute claiming he didn’t know who they were. According to “sources” ICP never got over it and this was their attempt at retribution. Whatever. I’m just surprised to see that these two dudes are still alive. I saw Fred Durst in sixth grade at the Worcester Palladium and he looked like he was barely clinging to life back then. I never saw ICP because my dad had a job, but he didn’t look much better. He’s rocking the basketball shorts/wife beater/sandals look which is never a good sign. You have to be in a dark place to dress like a disgruntled suburban eight grader who just bought his first Eminem CD. Although maybe he was just trying to fit in with the locals. They performed in Camden New Jersey, which is far and away the dirtiest city in all of New Jersey if not all the entire eastern seaboard. The crime is so rampant that they have microphones planted light posts that alert police to the sound of gunshots. If that doesn’t tell you everything you need to know about the state of Limp Bizkit/ICP then I don’t know what to tell you.
Anyway, I’m kind of happy for Shaggy. That kick probably felt SO good to get out of his system. Twenty years is a long time to be angry about something. Granted, he missed completely missed, but still.
The fact that he attempted it is what matters. Who knows, now that he got this off his chest maybe he’ll turn over a new leaf. Ditch the faceprint and bad attitude for a smile and some Christian rock. Regardless, it was a wild scene. Keep rocking, you two.
